Columbus, Ohio’s Maggz released the newest entry in his periodic, seasonal Soundscapes series this week, and the Spring Selection slaps. Employing neon-lit synths by the truckload and neck-snapping kick-snare combos, Soundscapes (Spring Selection) achieves balance by introducing ambient elements, and the combination of the sacred (earthy atmospherics) with the profane (late-night space-funk) works surprisingly well.
The slick, bouncy “Warm Rain”, which plays like a last-call anthem from a club that doesn’t exist yet, gives way to the richly textured, thoroughly chilled-out “Clouds Of Mist” and the even more floaty and ambient “Blooming Sun”. These more downtempo tracks serve to balance out the bangers, and an occasional synth pad or ethereal wind noise recall a slightly more hip-hop oriented Welder. Soundscapes (Spring Selection) might indicate that Maggz has dual personalities in his productions, but it also demonstrates that they’re in no way mutually exclusive, and in fact cooperate quite nicely. - “graham major”: potholes in my blog
This is the latest work from the man named Devin Jones aka Jo3wii Piff, he hails from Rochester, NY and is a member of Open Jar and Fak3wreckords™. The style of instrumentals that he brings forth are incredibly unique, as each one is like a collage of tiny images, and vivid textures. He has a diverse catalog that will leave you in almost a dizzy state of mind, you can download it for free, while your at it, support his earlier releases.
Beat wizards Jazzo & Melodiesinfonie are back with the anticipated follow-up to their acclaimed debut Ep “Treeology”; “Astro Funk & Weltfrieden” is a brilliantly crafted work packed with bewitched beats, odd-tronica melodies and fragile soundscapes.
“Astro Funk & Weltfrieden” is a diverse and mesmerizing album that defies the electronic beats genre boundaries.
It showcases the duo bringing a more mature sound while exploring a wide range of musical landscapes. Made of cloudy electric layers, delicate and dreamy melodies, abstract vocals, complex beats and synthetic loops, the album continues where “Treeology” left off and confirms the fertile imagination and creativity of two very promising producers in the genre.
Jazzo & Melodiesinfonie is a young production duo from Zurich, Switzerland. They started doing beats together in 2010. Inspired by artists such as Flying Lotus, Samiyam, Dibiase, Devonwho,… they decided to do their own thing and rapidly came up with their very own sound signature and a collection of fresh and accomplished tracks.

The “Feelin’ music podcast” series consists of exclusive podcasts by Feelin’ music’s friends and affiliates
This is a new mix of exclusive music that I have decided to share with everyone for free . Most of which are unreleased beats/ideas made within the same time period of the first two installments of the well received “Soundscapes” selection series that was released between Oct. 2011- Jan. 2012. The purpose of this is mix to give back to those who continue to support the projects that I have released thus far, so in appreciation of that I have compiled and mixed together some snippets of unused beats and ideas. These are mostly “ideas” that I was working on at one point and not fully completed beats therefore I have left them in the “raw” form and alot less “polished” than some of my previous releases. Again I appreciate all the support from everyone that has been there with/for me through this soundscapes journey so far, and I ask you to continue to do so as we move into the future, and as I progress as an individual, and as an artist. God Bless. M▲GGZ™
